Resources for Families
Locating Respite Care Services
Locating respite care services can sometimes be a daunting task for a number of reasons, including lack of trained/reputable providers, location where families reside, lack of financial resources, difference in the time when respite is available and when it is most needed, and not knowing where to start. The CRC is here to offer guidance and resources to assist in the process of finding a respite provider that meets your needs.
Please search our Online Respite Locator for respite providers near you.
If you do not find a suitable respite provider near your home, the following organizations in your community may also help you get in touch with respite care providers:

Coming up for air
Coming Up for Air is a family respite weekend held at Rocky Mountain Village in Empire, CO. Easterseals Colorado and the Colorado Respite Coalition have offered the weekend to families with children and teens with special needs and to kinship care, adoptive and foster families. During the weekend, children and teens are matched with counselors and participate in fun, recreational activities, while parents and guardians attend training sessions. Past training sessions have included stress management, self-care, accessing community resources and financial planning. The focus of the event is to connect families facing similar caregiving challenges and provide resources to support them, while also providing respite away from everyday life.
